What does CARS means?

The full sentence is:
      "CAcert Assurer Reliable Statement"

What you do by giving your assurance points for an assurance is
you make a: "CAcert Assurer Reliable Statement" to the community.
This means, your statement is verifyable and can be confirmed.

What is the process if something goes wrong?
=> file a dispute

By accepting CCA you are accepting Arbitration as our
internal disputes forum. Also you've accepted the
Liabilities (limited to 1000 Euro)
So giving a false statements you can be held liable
under arbitration.

Giving a false CARS statement is the identical process.
except its not limited over an assurance
The issue/subject may vary

CARS also means, you are liable to your statement given.
It can be verified and confirmed under Arbitration.
In case of a failure you can be held liable for such
an offense by the arbitrator.

So if I gave a statement that I've met a person
and sign it with my CARS statement, an Arbitrator
can verify this statement to be correct.
The verification process often takes some time,
but my statement can be confirmed by a couple of
other participients in a meeting, or by a made
assurance, or other evidence given

So in the end, a CARS statement can be verified
and confirmed in an Arbitration process.
