Discovery
case can be handled by similiar case a20100227.1 "Small modification in username + Account Cleanup (Dirk R) - Precedents Case {i}" Part I ruling
Removal of Middlename doesn't conflicts with PracticeOnNames. No assurances are effected. So can be passed w/o further investigations if the requirements are fulfilled:
- At least one Givenname is still left in users account w/o abbreviations - this is given by users Givenname
- a request, to revoke affected Client certs, that contains the removed name part, and that were issued after 2009-11-08
Ruling
by following the precedents case a20100227.1 I hereby rule, that (Support) should remove the users Middlename as requested. This execution doesn't conflict with AP nor PracticeOnNames. No assurances given are effected, as the simple rule states
For names or name parts: * in general: its allowed to reduce information, but it is prohibited to add informations
(Support) should also execute the revocation of client certs as given by the ruling under a20100227.1 part I, the user has to revoke client certs with the removed Middlename in it, that were issued after 2009-11-08, by requesting a statement from the user that he revoked affected client certs with a CARS statement and to document the response within the Support ticket.
- The Arbitration case number to add to the Support ticket is the current arbitration case number a20100714.1, nu further exec report to the Arbitrator is needed.
