The Dispute Resolution Officer is responsible for all tasks to do with the independent resolution of disputes within the [[ArbitrationForum]] arising out of CAcert activity.

Some tasks:

 * As ''"Chief Arbitrator"'',
   * manage the list of [[Arbitrations/Arbitrators|Arbitrators]]
     * (Selection of an Arbitrator from the list is delegated to Case Manager).
   * coordinate the Forum
   * supervise the work of Case Managers
 * Manage the [[http://www.cacert.org/policy/DisputeResolutionPolicy.php|Dispute Resolution Policy]].
   * Now in POLICY status.
   * Provide guidance on the policy at DisputeResolution and ArbitrationForum.
   * Lead changes through the policy group.
 * Liason:
   * training of Users with EducationOfficer
   * Support on filing of disputes
   * Feedback to policy group on impact of rulings and suggested changes
   * Provide to Board information on the Forum.
