CAcert est basé sur le modèle de "l'identité" pour créer le Web de la confiance (WoT). Ceci diffère du modèle "financier" employé par d'autres autorités de certificat (CA). Dans le modèle de "l'identité", to establish identity, of all the pieces of personal information that identify you, votre nom et votre date de naissance sont les le plus susceptibles de ne pas changer, the least intrusive, and therefore is the minimum amount of information CAcert uses to be able to affirm your "Identity".

So having your account reflect your correct name is required to receive Assurance points to gain access to CAcert’s higher level features. See [[http://www.cacert.org/index.php?id=19|CAcert Point System]]

It is easy to make a mistake in the form, and you may change your name when your account has 0 points. If you have already been assured, the assurance points will need to be deleted. Notify each assurer of the change and to contact you directly, see the "My Points" in your user account.  Contact CAcert Support <support@cacert.org> requesting to change your name.  Correct your name, and then notify the assurers to do their assurance again (if their forms have the correct name on the form).
