Minutes author prepares the actions from meeting and actions overview. All action owners to update.
Minutes author puts motion m2018MMDD.1 to accept the minutes from the last meeting.
Agenda
- Preliminaries
- Chair opens the Committee Meeting
- Who is making minutes?
- Is there a timelimit? Who is time keeper?
Chair asks whether cacert-board-private or cacert-board maillist includes any items that need to be disclosed to Members.
Chair points actions from last meeting to the meeting, and asks for discussion.
Election pledge: The outgoing committee has initiated various measures to get the finances under control. In addition, it intends to bring CAcert to Europe in 2019 (preparations are underway to do it with no need to change policies). This means that there will be an SGM in the first half of 2019 anyway. Then it could be decided: - relocate and continue - or wind up. By then it should have become apparent whether we have got the finances under control. For possibilities, see: https://wiki.cacert.org/Brain/CAcertInc/Committee/MeetingAgendasAndMinutes/2018-03-01/ideas
Secretary's pledge: "(if) each board member is willing to do about 10% more during this transition period (he has) time to prepare statutes (for Switzerland) and (prepare the) SGM."

Business
- Our Data Protection Of is based in the UK. As it could be, that the UK leaves the EU in a few days, the secretary asked Gero, if he would accept this task, if the UK will really leave the EU. Actually, he is waiting for an answer.
- The secretary banned with the help of our technical services from infrastructure some people that work now for another CA. A formal decision is needed. So, the committee votes: "The e-mail-list admin is authorised and instructed to remove from the mailing lists people who have publicly announced that they are no longer active for CAcert or are in public contact with another CA and to delete their c.o. mail account as well." It is accepted with 3y/0n/0abst.
- There is no need to notify people that are no more active in the community or even left it about changes in the wiki. It is moved that the wiki admin is authorised and instructed to remove the notifications sent to people no longer active at CAcert. (Formally, this decision will be the base board to go to arbitration, as the wiki belongs to the community and not to the association.) It is accepted with 3y/0n/0abst.
News: New roots will by ready hoppefully until end of March. It is almost ready, but there are some small issues about which fingerprint matches with what. After, president and secretary will push the big mailing. The secretary started some writing (to be finished until end of week): A short press release about the Swiss Org Assurance Action Plan for Schools -> cacert.ch (German only). He also follows political developments about e-identity and e-voting in Switzerland closely and writes letters to the editor whenever CAcert can be mentioned, even if the chance of being printed is small.
Question Time
- I am interested in that school id thing.
Answer: When teachers receive messages from teachers via electronic channels (SMS, WhatsApp, e-mail), they cannot be sure that they really come from their parents. In the case of sick leave, etc., this is legally extremely delicate. With a digital signature from the parents, any school would be helped. If a few teachers become Assurers, the school can offer the parents the required digital signature free of charge on parents' evenings and other events. At https://wiki.cacert.org/SchulrechtSchweiz the procedure is described in detail in German (in the details concerning Switzerland).
Closing
We aggreed last meeting on 2019-04-11-20:00 UTC for the next meeting.
Chair closed the meeting at 20:37 UTC
